TED Talks (on Chime.TV)
TED is a conference held in Monterrey, California every year. It is invite only and 1000 people who are all on the top of their fields (whether that be astronomy, design, cancer research, data visualization, musician etc) gather to exchange ideas and thoughts on the future.
Up until recently, whatever happened in TED stayed in TED, but not anymore. They have taken the open-approach of publishing all of their talks (15-30 minute easily digestable presentations) on their own website as well as YouTube. And you know what that means?
You can easily view them ALL fullscreen, non-stop on Chime.TV:
http://chime.tv/c/yt/user/TEDtalksDirector/
(or any YouTube page for that matter, by replacing TEDTalksDirector with the YouTube user name!) If you are logged in, don’t forget to click the HEART icon next to the title to favorite the channel for easy viewing next time.
Here are some of my favorites:
Ken Robinson’s Do Schools Today Kill Creativity?
Hans Rosling’s Debunking myths about the “Third World”
Dan Gilbert’s Stumbling On Happiness (which motivated me to go out and buy the book)
Tony Robbins’ Motivatation in 20 Minutes
Carl Honore’s In Praise Of Slowness
There are over 100 up already, so there’s truly something for everyone.
